Cezar Schirmer is a new Secretary of Public Security of Rio Grande do Sul
The state government has confirmed the name of the mayor of Santa Maria, Cezar Schirmer, as new Secretary of Public Security of Rio Grande do Sul. The announcement was made by Governor José Ivo Sartori, on Friday (2), at a press conference the Piratini Palace. Former Secretary of Agriculture, Civil House and Farm, Schirmer lead the folder replacing Wantuir Jacini.
At 64, Schirmer is a lawyer and has experience as a councilman, state deputy in five mandates and federal between the years 1998 and 2006. He was also president of the Legislative Assembly in early 1990. In 2008, he was elected to the city of Santa Maria. Foto: Karine Viana
